Marwari Limited,t/a Arise Nursing is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and supporting the Welsh Government’s Net Zero Wales plan. As a nursing agency operating across Wales, we recognize the impact of our activities on the environment and strive to integrate sustainable practices throughout our operations.
Objectives
- To achieve a 30% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030, with a long-term goal of net zero by 2050.
- To promote sustainability in healthcare services and encourage environmental stewardship among staff and partners.
- To comply with and exceed the relevant environmental legislation and standards.
Key Focus Areas and Actions
- Transition office premises to 100% renewable energy sources by 2025.
- Install energy-efficient LED lighting and motion sensors in all workspaces.
- Conduct regular energy audits and implement recommendations to reduce energy consumption.
- Encourage the use of public transport, carpooling, and cycling by offering incentives such as travel allowances for sustainable commuting.
- Transition the company’s vehicle fleet to electric or hybrid models by 2030.
- Promote virtual meetings and minimize non-essential travel for staff.
- Implement a robustrecycling program for office waste, including paper, plastics, and electronic waste.
- Transition to digital documentation to reduce paper usage by 50% by 2027.
- Partner with local recycling companies to ensure proper disposal of medical and office waste.
- Source environmentally friendly and ethically produced office supplies and equipment.
- Work with suppliers who have robust carbon reduction policies and encourage the use of sustainable packaging.

- The Carbon Reduction Plan will be overseen by the Sustainability Committee, which includes representatives from management, staff, and external environmental experts.
